Getting started with BC Registries APIs
- View API Services and read the specifications to find the ones that meet your needs.
- Create a BC Registries’ premium account to gain access (if you have not already done so).
- Download the API Terms of Use.pdf and submit an access request email to BCRegistries@gov.bc.ca. In your email, please include:
- Signed API Terms of Use
- BC Registries premium account number (note your account number located in the Account Settings).
- Upon completion of the access request, you will be issued with a sandbox environment API key with the appropriate access.
- Test your provided sandbox environment API key.
- If you’re done testing, request a production environment API key to BCRegistries@gov.bc.ca.
- You will be issued with a production environment API key via email.
