Update for API Users: Businesses & Business Search API Sandbox now available
The Businesses and Business Search APIs are available in the Sandbox environment as of August 18, 2022. Please note that the Sandbox environment may be unavailable Sundays between 8:00 A.M. and 12:00 P.M (Pacific Time) due to regular scheduled maintenance.
While the Business Search API returns basic results for all business types, it can only be used to pay for search products related to proprietorships, general partnerships, coops, benefit companies. As other business types are modernized they will be added to the API.
The Business Filings API (see specifications for Businesses API) provides all of the services needed to manage legal entities from the creation of new businesses to the submission of filings and retrieving basic information about a particular business.
Organizations that would like to connect with the various BC Registry API services will need to build interfaces that allow clients or staff to use the data collected. Please refer to the updated API specifications available on this site.
To request access to the sandbox environment, please follow these steps.
BC Registries will be modernizing all other Business Search and Filings for other corporate entity types in the future. Release to production is planned for the coming months and will be communicated soon.
